About Us
The Bank was established in 2011 by Liam Barton and Bryony Hughes and subsequently became a recording studio, gig space and home for artists and musicians from all over Australia.
Bands born at the bank include Lalić, RVG, Gregor, Hearing and Faye Soft. Bands recorded at the bank include 2 Steps on the Water, Drug Sweat, Mangelwurzel, Sweet Whirl, Footy and Suss Cunts.
In 2017 the bank was finally given eviction orders, but also expanded to become a record label with the immediate purpose of documenting and celebrating the music and art that was made by it's residents over the years and into the future.
